Ah, but you were not speaking about duration of the periods, but the 
number of breaks, so it would be "Fewer", properly. ;-)

I know at least one Brit who would back me up on this. ;-)

Yeah, then again, the quality of a lot of programming here in the US, 
losing time to commercials isn't an entirely bad thing.  600 channels of 
programmes, and nothing on worth watching much of the time.
