Well.. Maybe... , but here's the output from a 512 channel vocoder using 
a modified version of the posted code ;)

There's definitely room for improvement. One to keep the drone down 
somehow, and two, to allow for higher resolution filters based by 
overlapping slices.

Apologies for the sample used. I needed a quick spoken-word sound byte, 
and ... well.. it was convenient.
