I've worked with a few languages that are so obscure that the only 
appropriate image would be a black box (Coursewriter, anyone? No? Providex? 
Hmm? Ah well...)

They missed the language that I use most at work these days, though 
(VB.NET). From discussions I've had with other programmers who don't use it 
(and don't know what it is, because they can't get past the "B" word), I 
think one of these might be the preferred image:
