True, Blender is supremely powerful, but I often find myself trying to
figure out how to hold the saw to make something work.

With Pov, if feels as if you can quickly build your own saw (the Pov
language) that saws just the way you want to. But then again I feel as if I
can only saw in straight edges - while Blender can do sguiggly lines, but
its harder to wield the saw.

Actually, with Blender's regular updates, it is incredibly hard to keep
current with new tools and new ways of behaviour / use of old tools - where
I suppose SketchUp is more stable? I. e. you have -time- to learn how
everything works, before they go and update a tool AGAIN. (Making it
better, but now you have to re-learn how it works.)

YMMV though!
