My TomTom came with a suction cup, which worked 100% of the time.

Until that time I did a trip with my mum, who completely believes that 
you have to LICK the cup before sticking it to the windscreen. Wouldn't 
believe me no matter how much I tried to tell her that you're not 
supposed to do this.

Now it works 14% of the time. The rest, after a few minutes or hours, it 
lets go. Fine on a motorway, but as soon as you turn a corner, the [very 
expensive] device gets uncerimoniously dumped onto the floor. :-/

I'm wondering if there's some way I could drill it to the dashboard, or 
stick it down with tape or something...
