If you are having problems running old DOS programs with a modern PC,
all you have to do is to use the DosBox emulator. It's a full PC/DOS emulator
(ie. it emulates the entire hardware) and it works very well. Most DOS programs
run flawlessly and without having to configure anything. The emulator is
available for many systems (including Windows and Linux).
