Thanx for the ideas. I am already using VDM for much of the work;
unfortunately, not everything I am doing is possible in VDM (or other
modeling programs that I have tried). I'll try the blender plugin, but
if its anything like directly importing STL I'll not be able to do the
alterations I am attempting.
