I suspect you mean POV 3.1, as 3.5 has not been released (for any
platform) yet.

I don't use a GUI, I just run povray from the shell.  Easier.
Something like:

 povray -itest.pov -d +ft -otest.tga -w320 -h200

Or did you mean something else?
