I used this :

mencoder mf://E:\Pov\road\anim\*.png -mf w=800:h=600:fps25:type=png -of 
mpeg -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcoded=mpeg4:mbd=2:trell -o 
E:\Pov\road\anim\road_parametric5.mpeg


(this is rather low bitrate)
