Alternately, most games save their games in a separate directory you can
just back out and then restore after reloading. (I'm not sure about
Steam games, mind.) That's generally what I do when I uninstall a game I
wasn't planning on replaying soon. Vista theoretically makes this
easier, as I understand it has a specific directory for game saves,
altho I can't say as how I expect Vista to have managed to put all the
files there for older games.
