  Not really. "Real" geeks know the latest development in technology and
software as well as the most important history of it, even if that history
happened before they were born, and especially if that history has lasted
to these days (as is the case with D&D, although not the case with VAX).

  What I'm probably doing is tying "geekiness" to a rather particular
form of geek: A computer/gaming geek. One whose geeky hobbies consist
mostly of computers, computer programming, computer gaming and role-playing
(and sci-fi, and anime, and...)

  Of course there may be other types of "geeks" out there, specialized in
slightly different things. :)
