In my employment contract it says that both the employer and the employee 
must give at least 3 months notice before terminating the contract.  It also 
says that under cases of gross misconduct the employer is allowed to 
terminate the contract immediately.  There's probably 100 other get-out 
clauses as well that I haven't bothered to read.
