Last time my mouse ran the batteries flat (and I didn't have charged spares)
I used the machine for the rest of the day with no mouse.  It wasn't
difficult. There are enough shortcut keys built into windows to navigate
most apps (unless you're doing some photoshop or 3d modeller work)
