You can, however, use #debug with any variables that you have created to 
define object parameters.  For example:

#declare CAMERA_ANGLE = some calculations;
#debug concat("ANGLE: ", str(CAMERA_ANGLE, 3, 1)
camera {
   other camera stuff
   angle CAMERA_ANGLE
}
