Well, GHC (a Haskell compiler) is written in Haskell. Mostly.

(Apart from the runtime engine, which is C. Oh, and The Evil Mangler, 
which is Perl...)

Presumably at some point in pre-history, it was all C. It must have 
been. Heh.
