The human eye has 3 kinds of cones,
short, medium and long frequency (S, M, L).
S cones recieve blue best. M cones recieve
green best. L cones recieve yellow best.
Since you can't reproduce a good red with
BGY, painters opted for RYB in the 18th
century, most colors can be mixed from
that with the exceptions of bright green,
magenta, and cyan. That is because when
mixing RL paint the luminance decreases.
Modern monitors mix light from pixels,
so the luminance is additive. Unfortunately,
orange is difficult to mix from green and
red while keeping high luminance.
Try color <1,0.25,0>*2, or something
saturated like that. Maybe tweak the
finishes a bit smoother.
