Ok, so the world doesn't really need another pencil. Actually, I was 
just following a nice Wings 3D tutorial for creating a pencil at
http://homepage.mac.com/ycarry/Wings/Pencil/Pencil.html to get a
feel for that program. Then, I decided that a pencil begs to be done
in CSG instead by modelling the raw pencil before sharpening it. The
basic shape is a prism over a bezier_spline with 48 control points.
So much for the rest of the day, what a complete waste of time ;)
