The pro version of SketchUp 6 will export
an OBJ file (among other types). PoseRay
can probably convert this to a POV file to render.
The pro version of SketchUp is available
for an 8 hour trial use.

The free version of SketchUp 6 will export a
file in KMZ format. This is really a zip file
containing a KML format geometry file.
This is an XML based format probably based on
Collada. Collada DAE files were included in the
KMZ in earlier versions, Collada is not owned
by Google and is intended to ease data interchange.
While the KML file is still XML based this
probably signals that future versions of SketchUp
will further intentionally hinder export of geometry
by the free versions.
