I don't know - seems quite realistic to me. We had some tables made by
somebody who apparently wasn't such a hot carpenter (and neither was the
wood too good either) - these tables had the same overdone /
disproportionate look due to having to be thick and strong (due to the weak
wood) to carry anything worthwhile on them...
