I have a sphere (see the recent Sunglasses/One way glass thread in
P.B.I). I'd like to apply a texture to the sphere in such a way that it
really is a texture rather than just a picture of a texture sitting on a
smooth surface.
The texture comes from a greyscale png file that I've built in photoshop
where white is high.
What's the right command for this? I've tried a couple of things (don't
remember what, it was a couple of days ago) but the best I could do put
the texture in only one direction. The region facing the camera was just
streaked with the texture streched. It looked like the texture was
applied to the xz-plain and as the shere got 'steeper' the texture
became streched.
An example would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
