Google now has a new search page: Google Scholar
(Note that it is a BETA version)
Of course I had to try to search for POV-Ray there:
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=POV-Ray
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=POVRay
About Google Scholar:
"Google Scholar enables you to search specifically for scholarly
literature, including peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints,
abstracts and technical reports from all broad areas of research. Use
Google Scholar to find articles from a wide variety of academic
publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories and
universities, as well as scholarly articles available across the web."
Here's a few other relevant searches:
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=raytracing
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=rendering
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=texturing
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=lighting

http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=subdivision+surfaces
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=meshes+OR+meshing
http://scholar.google.com/scholar?q=isosurface+OR+isosurfaces
While speaking about Google; I just learned that it has two
other interesting specialized search pages:
