I worked with CSoundAV few times. This is a really great project. Few person
here working with PovRay seems to work with CSound. I see a lot of
similarities between PovRay and Csound.

CSound is code oriented. With OpenGL interfaces, you could map your
parameters to modify a code (in OpenGL).

The goal is not to procduce sound, but to have an interface for 3D
programming, even not in real time. It's more on how you sketch (as in the
project Proce55ing.net) your algorithms. PureData and Max are clearly done
for realtime processing systems, but maybe we could use the same way to
represent objects (operators) in PovRAY.

We could imagine keeping the Spirit of UML for modeling in PovRAY. I saw few
projects based on that, but it was mainly used for post-process effects
(like photoshop filters and 3D transformations) rather than the geometry
construction.

For example, We have a set of points and we would like to apply a convex
hull operator on to obtain a polygon. We map the point list to the input of
a blackBOX "Convex Hull" and the output is a polygon that we pass through
another blackBOX "extrusion" for example. This would make the sketching
(coding) more intuitive, compromise between interactivity and plain text
coding.
