This is an image that's been in the making since the surrealism round of the
IRTC last summer. There are 50,000 blades of grass, placed by a macro that
Tim Nikias helped me with greatly. The flowers are each composed of 200
scaled spheres with one "end" in the center and the other distributed evenly
around a spherical shell. This spherical shell points were generated by
another macro, this one entirely written by Tim Nikias. These flowers were
then placed on the same heightfield surface that the grass in on by the same
macro.
Anyhow, I'm very pleased with the flowers, grass, and lighting. However,
the visible slice of sky seems quite blank (especially since it is). I'm
not sure what to do. Stars and clouds, or what? I'm sort of lost about it
all. What do YOU think?
Thanks,
Frank
