When the start-up of a program seems too slow, I think of a lack of RAM. 
  You can have a look through the registry :
...\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
to find the programs loaded at start-up. Sometimes you find programs 
that are loaded without your knowing it and you can clean it if they are 
not meant to be run.
