I needed these for a scene, extracted the method from John VanSickle's
1999 IRTC Entry, "Boxer Solves A Problem"
http://www.irtc.org/anims/1999-07-15.html
and modified it slightly to produce both types of Penrose Tiles (see PB-SF)
Dave Matthews
(Again: All credit to John for what works in the "include;" any blame
on me for what doesn't.)
First Pic "Type A" "Kites and Darts"
Second Pic "Type B" "Rhombs"
p.s. Any suggetions for a decent JPEG compressor (free) for Windows?
I'm using Serif Software's "PhotoPlus 5.5" It's free, but it's
inefficient and poor quality. These images should run about 25k for the
quality of output. For my Mac (at home) I have Photoshop with some
plug-in (can't remember what) that improves Photoshop's compressor
considerably.
