I made a board for my chess pieces, and a table for my board... this is
actually an 'outdoor' scene (there's a sky_sphere for the chess pieces,
and other objects, to reflect anyway...) because, well, it was easier
to put up one wall than a whole room, or something like that.
FWIW, I went through some effort to get cylinders and boxes to line up
on tangents, so that the edges of both the chess board and the table
have a primary curve and then a tiny secondary curve to bring them
around to the plane. I'm not sure how much this effect differentiates
itself from a scaled cylinder for an edge, but it does make the two
parts of the curve independently and precisely adjustable.
Oh, and for this, my second image post, I'm converting to jpg. ;)
I can make out no visible difference between png and imagemagick's
convert of a png to a jpg, so I have no reason to stray from the
group guidelines...
