No need to be sorry. It may well be the case that some people willing to
provide textures would ask for this possibility. Actually there's a growing
trend for free content providers to put extra requirements about their
stuff. The "non-commercial use" clause is the most common, but some really
weird demands have appeared lately, like people who do not want their free
prop being used in "violent" or "satanic" scenes... There seems to be no
limit there. Next time I release props, I'll make sure to put a clause in
the license asking people to do the chicken dance first and send the video
to me :-)
On one hand, I don't quite understand this sort of demands (not to mention
that they are hardly enforceable). On the other hand, people are obviously
free to write their own EULA and put in whatever they want. But do we want
to encourage that ?
In regards to POV-Ray related material, I think that the rule of thumb
should be that the EULA for a freebie should not be harsher than POV-Ray's
own and prohibit only potential abuses (like reselling or stealing/hiding
the copyright), so the modification you propose seems right to me.
