XFrog 3.5 is not very different from 3.0, IIRC it's more about bug fixes and
support of other 3D apps. It's a good investment if you need to have
realistic trees (or weird biological creatures) in your scenes on a regular
basis.
Make sure you get a fast config with lots of RAM, those trees can really
clog a computer, either in Xfrog or in Povray. It's quite easy and fun to
use and gives good results, provided that you can live with the limitations
of a very specialised modeller. I'll have a Xfrog -> Povray tutorial ready
one of these days once the isses related to the OBJ export are solved. Btw,
it's one of the few apps used by SFX companies that is also affordable to
hobbyists.
