You are supposed to be able to. See WinZIP help regarding multiple volumes.
It appears you need to create a new archive, add the files you want and save
the .zip to the a:, WinZIP will prompt when you need to add another disk.
But as I said, I prefer WinRAR, much easier to use, especially for volumes.
