I don't know about the other questions, but the bump_size or depth would be placed
immediately after the closing curly brace of
the slope pattern.

However, in my testing of that feature I saw no difference in the apparent depth. 
Perhaps it is expected that we use a
normal_map and each individual normal of the normal_map would have its own bump depth.
 (Or perhaps my test cases aren't good
enough!)
