Just found that hf_gray_16 (on) won't allow a render to proceed. That bug
mentioned was only about TGA file output being okay but not for PNG and with
the Beta 2. I get the message:
File Init Error: Cannot open output file.
whether png or tga is specified.
Intel opt. Beta 4, WinMe, PIII, 512MB
