<Hello,
< This looks just like the one at Miyajima where the torii sits in the water
at high-tide, facing Hiroshima.
< I like it a lot.

Hi.
In fact it's based on a photograph of the Torii of Itsukushima.
I have found a new photo that shows that the roof is wrong 'cause
it needs two pieces that I haven't seen in the first one due to the
perspective. I'll change that.

< How did you do the curved part along the top?

/* Remember that this has been made with Moray
"So you need to make a scale <-1,1,1> and a proper rotation
in order to get the same object in POV-Ray. (Warp)" */

difference {
  cylinder { // Cylndr009
    <0,0,1>, <0,0,0>, 1
    scale <38.0, 3.0, 2.0>
    rotate -90.0*x
    translate  <0.0, -1.0, 38.5>
  }
  cylinder { // Cylndr010
    <0,0,1>, <0,0,0>, 1
    scale <38.0, 3.0, 2.1>
    rotate -90.0*x
    translate  <0.0, -1.05, 39.975379>
  }
  box { // Cube016
    <-1, -1, -1>, <1, 1, 1>
    scale <2.0, 1.1, 3.34325>
    rotate -8.63432*y
    translate  <-37.8367, 0.0, 38.7583>
  }
  box { // Cube017
    <-1, -1, -1>, <1, 1, 1>
    scale <2.0, 1.1, 3.34325>
    rotate 8.634315*y
    translate  <37.836761, 0.0, 38.758323>
  }
}

< Are you going to model the rest of the temple?

Maybe, a journey always starts with one step. ;-)

See you.
