It won't affect the way the voting works, it will automatically accept
multiple images by the same person as far as I know.

I think it's fine to submit two images (I don't consider it a problem unless
someone has just entered in the same scene from different angles, for
example), the major drawback for most people is that in making two images
you halve your development time on each image, so to speak.
