Gorgeous images, especially the Valles Marineris close-up... no vertical
exaggeration? But still some nitpicking - normally, Martian atmosphere is
never completely cloud-free, there are always some whispy haze clouds. Are you
sure that the Martian sky really blends from light pink via dark blue to
black?
I rember an orbital Viking shot showing no blueish gradient at all (attached
here)
Still another problem: I tried your link to the high-res Mars maps and
downloaded a small version (4 pixels/degree), but neither Irfan View nor the
GIMP can handle these IMG files - I only get error messages! What can I do?
