I have played a bit with the Stanford CT head data
(http://graphics.stanford.edu/data/voldata/), converting the pixels to
"voxels" ie boxes.
In the first image I have cut all points with a density under 1500. A
skull built with Lego. About 336000 blocks.
In the second I have left some meat on the bones. Gross, ain'it?
Density 1050 to 1500 as transparent red boxes, density > 2000 as opaque
"bone coloured" boxes. There are 1399462 boxes in the scene, and it used
1.1 GB memory.
