Their description says:

"The whole Earth defined with an accuracy to within 1km 
200m for Europe and the U.S. 
10km for Ocean's floor."

Which is about what's available for free today.

And after all this is a group about Povray so i'm comparing things with
those available in Povray and this is less than what was technically
possible in Povray 5 years ago.
