Here's an image which uses a kind of randomly
scaled crackle pattern function to define the
normal and the pigment of a CSG-shape.
The shape is the same as the one in the "Mushy
Sphere" image that I posted here 19. February:
news://news.povray.org/3A9083F6.A68587F%40hotmail.com
The 1280x1024 AA 0.3 version of this image took
about 18 hours to render and peak memory usage
was just below 220 MB (IIRC).
It was rendered with radiosity in a pre-beta
release of POV-Ray v3.5 on 1 GHz Pentium III PC
with 512 MB of RAM.
