I'm not a judge (I think I've finally found the time to enter
next round -- but time will tell), but as a viewer, I usually
have text descriptions along with the image, and Alt+Tab between
the two.
When I find an image is a bit lacking, I am usually relieved
when the author explains that he is still a beginner. That
changes my point of view, that's all, and I think the same
goes for the judges.
The worst to do would be to claim one's superiority, and submit
a lacking image. Boom.
