I have to play a Devil's advocate here, but some of the stuff the best Bryce
users turn out is truly amazing. See:

I guess it takes a lot of work and dedication to get there, but Povray is no
piece of cake either. To get the best out of Povray, it's preferable to be at
ease with programming, something truly appalling for many people.
From my own forays with Bryce, I'd say that it's more limited than Povray (and
particularly than Megapov) in many aspects, but one can obtain - within these
limitations - extremely good results in a relatively short time.
