  It sounds to me like Mark sent you the program source files for
his patch. If that is the case you will have to compile them as an
executable program before you can run his patch of the program.
You might get someone here to compile it for you and send you the
executable if you don't have a program compiler available to do it
for you.
  Even once you get the source code compiled you are still going to
have to experiment with it to figure out how to use the special
features of the patch. I would think that Mark could at least give
you an example .pov file to work from and maybe a short explaination
of the features of his patch. Since he has not released his patch
publically yet there is no one but Mark who knows how to use it.
This means there is nobody here who can offer any advice to you
on how to proceed or set up your scene file.
