Your idea of selecting some best images of the year is probably very nice.
Only, it has nothing to do with a logo. You can't just take a word (such as
the word "logo") and decide for yourself what the word means. There may not
be very clear definitions of what a logo is, but I'm absolutely sure that
your idea falls outside any meaningful interpretation of the word. At least,
that's how I see it, and it seems that how many other people see it too.
It's like if Nike said: Why not let the symbol of shoes be the shoes
themselves? Rather than making a fixed logo, we find each year some pictures
of some of our shoes and use that as our logo.
That would be silly of course. I think you should look at what other
companies do. There just might be a reason that they do it that way...
But besides that, I wouldn't mind having selected some "best images of the
year". :-)
