I might, with the permission of Mike and the POV-Team, get the
archive posted at the povray.org ftp site but as was already
mentioned the chances of getting a development group working
on the program is not possible. It is not open source and
there are legal reasons why it will not become so.

There is a Japanese patch modeller in the works with similar
functionality that is showing promise and it is in active
developement. Hopefully they will fill in the gap left by
the lack of developement of sPatch.
