I have a scene file of what could be considered amateurish gemstones at best.
If that sounds okay then I'll send it over. There's a sapphire, opal, ruby,
emerald, diamond (the "cut" stones are CSG of plane) and even a terribly bad
tigers eye. None being based on reality of course.

| My girlfriend is into making jewellery. I have started to design some 3d

| Does anyone know of any POV code closely describing the optical
| properties of typical gemstones (eg. diamond, sapphire, opal, moonstone
| etc.) as well as some traditional cuts (eg. classic diamond facets,
| hemispherical/cabochon<sp?>, quartz-like cleavage, etc.)?
|
| Many thanks in advance
