Gain in quality and better playability perhaps, not exactly sure. The file
sizes of Mpeg-2 always seem quite large by comparison to Mpeg-1 from what
I've seen. Don't know if that is settings related or not. Oh, and Mpeg-2
can have sound added I believe is the main difference.
