Well, I didn't think that the quality was much if any lower than usual.
I don't think many people used the full year -- I know I only started
at the normal time for a two-month round (no, I don't mean 24 hours
before the deadline!). There is one "trend" that does kind of bug me --
the increasing tendency to lean on Poser.
By the way, out of curiosity I counted up which renderers people
used, and here are the results:
Pov-Ray: 62
3DS Max: 11
Bryce: 8
Raydream: 6
Lightwave: 2
Rhino: 2
Blender: 1
BMRT: 1
Hash Animation Master: 1
Poser: 1
Simply 3D: 1
Strata Studion Pro: 1
Truespace: 1
Unknown: 1
