One of these days I'll post the source.  (I'm beginning to promise things
again :-)
It's an average of two bozo-patterns.  The first goes from the begin-place
to right-up while it vanishes, the second goes from below-left to the
begin-place while it appears.  The same goes for the water, except that it's
an noise3d-pattern. (BTW: it's no normal! Those are real waves!)
