Likewise here. Just a little 4 inch schimdt-cassegrain but last time
I had it out was during the Hale-Bopp comet event, whenever that was
; )
Far as indoor astronomy goes it's actually been longer than that since
I started up a program. My favorite homemade amateur astronomer aide
was a star atlas page lookup done in Basic a decade ago for my
Petersons Field Guide (was meant for Sky Atlas 2000 or Uranametria I
think). I had gotten the general script out of Sky&Telescope but went
on to add a list of stars and various info about them. Was fun to do.
I've never even seen one of those Meade LX telescopes in person, you
know, with the star locator.
On the POV-Ray side, I have had difficulty navigating the Solar system
via renders so far. Hope that changes.
