It's a pascal derivative developed by Borland as a competitor to MS's
Visual Basic *and* C/C++. If you can get the hang of Pascal (which -
with some documentation - most people can) then it's an intruiging if
slightly unusual programming environment.
It's easy (I'm told) to get very, very fond of. Outclasses VB in most
ways and is sort-of on a par with C/C++ in terms of speed of execution
of programs developed in it.
