One possibility: on my 400Mhz AMD K6, if I tell Windoze 98 to 'restart in
dos mode', for unknown reasons the computer runs so slowly, it feels like a
486/33! The fix: when turning on the computer, press F8 (I think) to start
up in true DOS.
