Speaking of which, the graphics are considerably better and faster if you
have good enough hardware acceleration...  I was quite amazed with the
results from Quake 3 Arena... here's a good site...

The image on this page is 1024x768 Truecolor, computed in real time in Quake
3 Arena at a rate of 37 FPS.  Quite amazing considering the quality :)

*next step:  impliment raytracer and steal a few Crays*
